Leak Detection & Monitoring System
We provide leak detection and monitoring services for district heating networks – from the initial documentation of the alarm wire system through to fault location, long-term monitoring and coordination of repairs.
Our Services
Creation of alarm wire wiring diagrams
Verification of alarm wire installation
Measurement and comparison of wire lengths
Digital localisation of faults within the network diagram
Classification and documentation of leaks, short circuits and wire breaks
Status tracking of active and repaired faults
Measurement of individual network sections
Integration of Ratmon and Wideco monitoring devices
Recording and display of historical measurement data
Long-term trend analysis
Continuous network monitoring
Coordination of fault investigation and repair access
GSM-based monitoring during construction
Verification of alarm wire installation during network construction
-
As a first step, we create a clear wiring diagram (nordic or brandes) showing how the alarm wires are connected throughout the network.
To ensure that the documentation reflects the actual installation, we also verify the alarm wire system on site. Measured wire lengths are compared with the wiring diagram, allowing deviations, incorrect connections and installation faults to be identified at an early stage.
This creates a reliable basis for future monitoring and accurate fault location.
-
Our application links measurement results directly to the alarm wire diagram.
A measured fault can be entered into the system and is automatically displayed at the corresponding position within the network diagram. This makes it possible to see not only where a measuring device is installed or where an alarm is active, but where the actual fault is located within the monitored section.
Faults can be classified by type, documented and stored as active or repaired. Individual sections of the network can also be measured directly within the application.
This creates a clear and traceable history of the monitoring system and all detected faults.
-
Monitoring devices from systems such as Ratmon and Wideco can be integrated into our platform.
Measurement data is displayed and stored continuously, allowing changes and trends to be analysed over time. This makes it possible to identify gradual changes in measured values and detect developing problems before they result in major damage.
-
On request, we take over the ongoing monitoring of the network.
If a fault or abnormal development is detected, we evaluate the measurement data, locate the affected section and coordinate the next steps up to the opening of the damaged area for repair.
This provides operators with a single point of contact from monitoring through to fault location and expertise.
-
We also monitor alarm wire systems during the construction of new district heating networks.
Battery-powered detectors can be installed and transmit measurement data to our server via GSM. This allows us to monitor the alarm wire system continuously during construction.
The system provides an overview of construction progress while also helping to verify that the alarm wires are installed and connected correctly.
Installation faults can therefore be identified while the pipeline is still accessible, before the trench is closed.
